Xinhua reported that local police in Haryana’s Gurugram district confirmed the deaths of a husband, wife and child after their family car rammed into a stationary private bus on the Delhi‑Vadodara Expressway early Thursday morning. The crash left two other children injured and required rescue workers to use machine cutters to retrieve the victims from the smashed vehicle.

According to the same announcement, the collision occurred at approximately 3 a.m. in Gurugram, adjacent to New Delhi. Police said the family’s car was forced into the parked bus, causing a complete wreck. Rescue crews worked for several hours to free the bodies and injured passengers from the wreckage, employing cutters to cut through the damaged frame.

The Uttam Hindu, in a 7:36 a.m. piece, echoed Xinhua’s account of three fatalities – the driver, his wife and their daughter – and noted that five people were injured, including a four‑year‑old child. It identified the crash site as the Delhi‑Vadodara Expressway near the Lohatki area of Gurugram.

Meanwhile, the Times of India reported that a couple and their four‑year‑old daughter were killed when the family car struck a parked tourist bus on the same expressway. The Times added that five people were harmed overall, aligning with the earlier reports.

Local police have confirmed the number of casualties and have not yet released details about the cause of the collision. No further statements have been issued by authorities or the family at this time.
