In brief

On Oct. 29, Yemen’s Houthi movement announced six missile and drone strikes against Saudi Gulf oil facilities and airports, targeting Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, Rabigh, King Khalid, and King Fahd airports, and a military command post in Najran. Saudi air defenses intercepted three missiles. Later, on Oct. 30, debris from intercepted missiles fell in Riyadh, injuring a citizen and damaging property. Wiki‑based reports note fatalities at the airports, but those figures remain unverified.

On Thursday, October 29, Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed it launched six ballistic missiles and drones against Saudi oil refineries, airports, and a military command post, according to Xinhua.

The Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarea said the missiles struck the Ras Tanura refinery and Abqaiq Aramco facility in the Eastern Province, the Rabigh refinery on the Red Sea coast, and disrupted air traffic at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. He also claimed a strike on a Saudi military command center in Najran caused casualties among soldiers.

The Saudi‑led coalition said it intercepted three of the missiles, two aimed at Riyadh and one at the Eastern Province, and that debris from the intercepted projectiles fell over Riyadh on October 30, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Saudi civil‑defense teams reported a citizen sustained minor injuries as debris damaged a house and a vehicle. A Wikipedia article states that 22 people were killed at the three Saudi airports during the attacks, though that figure has not been verified by independent sources.
