The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) issued an official warning on Saturday, notifying residents of the Madinah region that heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, hail, flash floods and thunderstorms, is expected to begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m.

Saudi Press Agency reports that the weather conditions include near‑zero horizontal visibility and that the NCM urges the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

Authorities have highlighted the potential for hazardous rainfall to trigger flash floods and damage infrastructure. Residents in the affected zones are advised to stay indoors, secure outdoor objects, and avoid traveling through flooded roads.

Emergency services are on alert, and the local civil defence has opened emergency shelters to accommodate those seeking protection from the severe weather.
